Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself

Hey there! I have no idea how you stumbled on this blog but I’m so incredibly happy to have you here. My name is Nickell but my friends call me Kell. I’m from a tiny Island called St. Maarten in the Caribbean and I absolutely LOVE creating.

I’ve been married to the man of my dreams for 8 years this year and we’ve been through SO many ups and downs. Despite all of that I know he's the one .. he's truly my soulmate.

In spring of 2015 we found out we were pregnant after 3 years of trying to conceive. We had 2 losses along the way, and needless to say we were cautiously optimistic. Can I be real with you? I took almost no photos while I was pregnant because I felt like I didn’t want to jinx the pregnancy in any way or if something happened. I kind of wanted to push it out of my mind.. it sounds so messed up in hindsight but I was so jaded from the previous losses that I couldn’t really enjoy this one.

Fast forward to Fall 2015 and my rainbow babies were born!

My family means everything to me and I’m so Incredibly grateful for them. I wanted to spend more time with my children so with my husband's blessing, he allowed me to leave the corporate job and be a full time stay-at-home mom to my wonderful kiddos.

I've always been a creative person from drawing to painting, to DIYs.. you name it and I (most likely) tried it. Starting a YouTube channel and blog seemed so natural to me. YouTube and my blog are creative outlets that keep me sane because let's face it, being a stay-at-home mom isn't easy!

I've been contemplating if this should just be a space for DIYs and I thought why does it have to be strictly a tutorial website? This won't be a complete lifestyle site, but I will drizzle a little of my life here and there so we can all get to know each other better.

As you browse through the site I hope you're inspired to create what you love. Don't be intimidated or limit yourself because of fear. Let me tell you - ignore the “I can’t” person in your mind (I’m SO guilty of this). Believe in yourself and trust those hands God gave you! Not everything will come out exactly how you want it the first go around (guilty again, too!) but with practice I know you’ll begin to improve! The hardest thing to do is to start, so just go for it!

So, welcome to my blog.. hold on.. our blog. I’m here to serve and I hope you find exactly what you’re looking for. I would absolutely LOVE to hear about you! Let's be friends and connect. Drop a comment or send an email letting me know who you are, what your DIY goals are (or goals in general) and what you'd like to see more of on this site.

I can't wait to hear from you.
